The recode of Lyon still doesn't have all the features from before, but the engine's performance is fantastic. It has DirectSound, but not DirectDraw (yet, considering going with Direct3D instead so we can get interpolation back)
Cheat entry is not implemented yet, HOWEVER, pressing I will do +/-I. Working on putting it back in.

Stepping back to step forward is never more true then when talking about programming.

Words of wisdom right there.

The recode of Lyon is noticeably faster in all the right places! Great work.
Couple bugs:
Marquee text isn't properly alligned.
#change fake monitor error

Thanks for pointing these out. I'll get them fixed.
There's been a period of inactivity, just had to sort some things out personally. I have made a few commits recently which are preparing for the addition of cheating and some editor functionality. I really think this will be the last time I have to recode this- it's amazingly modular.

Speed seems to get messed up when I select a speed -> play -> quit -> and select another speed. No matter what speed I select the second time it reverts back to the normal speed.
Otherwise I enjoy the limitations removed. It would take probably 5-10 minutes on full speed to setup this random music generator I made, it only takes 10-15 seconds full speed on Lyon.

I was experimenting with a mobile front-end for Lyon.
Edit: meh

Hahaha, fantastic I can already imagine it. Only for SZZT though. Scrolling wouldn't work for ZZT with it's many cutscene boards.

I'm considering moving from Github to SVN. There are some updates that have not been pushed yet.

any update on that jill of the jungle audio rip? You should make a version of lyon with jill of the jungle audio in it. Anyway I think a wav rip of the series would be pretty nifty and might help inspire people.

I was always more of a Jazz Jackrabbit fan. That had a great soundtrack.
I converted a couple tracks to PC speaker with great success.

I've still got to dig out my old beefed up dosbox and do some recordings. Amusingly, when I upgraded it to 450mhz a few old games started to freak out. Jill was not one of those, luckily.
