Zack: Preppy, charming and totally gorgeous! Zach is a schemer who would rather stay up all night figuring how to get out of an exam than studying for it!
Slater: The All-American athlete with dimples to die for! Captain of Bayside's football team, Slater is a chauvinist who -- believe it or not -- has an emotional side. What a combo!
Screech: Class clown and electronic genius! When Screech turns on the power, the fun never stops!

HERE ARE SOME OF THE MOST COMMON MYTHS AND THE FACTS TO GO WITH THEM!!
Autism is rare - This is perhaps one of the biggest myths!!! This myth probably started because of the lack of physical symptoms. Autistic Spectrum Disorder as well as other "hidden" disability children don't have a certain "look" or equipment like a wheelchair or crutches that distinguishes them from other children. The fact is that autism affects 1 in 500 people and this number is increasing yearly as we become more aware of the symptoms. This in itself makes it more common then Downs Syndrome and many other "visible" disabilities.
All Autistic children are mentally retarded - Some children with Autism may indeed be mentally retarded, however, most Autistic Spectrum Disorder children are NOT retarded. This assumption is due to inadequate tests which do not take into consideration the Childs inability to understand the purpose of the tests or even the language being used!!! Put yourself in their shoes and think about taking a test in double Dutch .... How well would you do??
All Autistics are "Gifted" - Meaning that they have extraordinary abilities that compensate for their "differences". Film portrayals of "savant" Autistics do little to dispel this myth!! An example of this can be seen in "Rain Man", when the autistic adult was able to count all the cocktail sticks on the floor in the restaurant very quickly. In reality, some Autistic people do have special abilities or "gifts", many Autistic people are just simply Autistic.
Autism is caused by bad parenting skills - This means that the child consciously opts to become autistic because their Mother and Father hate them or emotionally neglects them. UTTER RUBBISH!!!! In the past it was thought to be the parent's fault which thankfully since has been proven NOT to be the case!! The fact is that parents cannot and do not "make" their children autistic.
People with autism have no emotions - On the surface this may seem to be the case because they don't always express their emotions in a way that you and I recognize. They DO have emotions!!! Frustration, anxiety, stress, and fear are the ones that are often displayed on a daily basis, yet they also can and do show affection. The affection may be displayed in a different form to the way WE perceive affection but it is still affection none-the-less!!
A child that can smile or show emotions is not Autistic - NO WAY!!!! Some Autistic Children DO show love and for those who do not with a lot of support, hard work, patience and love on behalf of the parents/carers can be taught how to show emotion!!
Autistic Children cannot learn - RIDICULOUS!!! Of course they can learn!!! Yes this may be at varying degrees depending upon where on the spectrum they are but none-the-less they CAN and DO learn.
Progress means a child is not Autistic - ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! Progress is once again the result of a lot of support, hard work, patience and love on behalf of the parents/carers because without this progress WOULD NOT be being made!!!
Autistic children can't talk - Again ridiculous!!!! Yes they can!!! This myth is classing all Autistic Spectrum children under the heading of "mute" although it is true to say that SOME do not speak by no means is it ALL!!!!!
Autism is a childhood disorder and can be "grown out of" - NO NO NO NO NO!!!! With appropriate intervention and a supportive network around them many people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder can and do go on to lead happy and productive lives, BUT Autism is a LIFE LONG condition and is NEVER "grown out of."
Inside every Autistic child there is a "normal person" trying to get out - OH MY GOODNESS NO!! Every Autistic individual is just that an individual and a REAL PERSON. It is not possible to separate the Autism from that person .... If you are looking to do that you are looking to have a DIFFERENT person altogether!!!
Autism is curable - Many people have tried to find a cure for Autism without success, although there are many therapies, and some children do show signs of progress, there is no cure for autism. The varying degrees of Autistic Spectrum Disorder make it extremely difficult to single out a singular cause, thus complicating the process of finding a cure.
Is A Middle-Class Disorder - This is TOTALLY untrue!!!! Autism knows no boundaries and can affect Middle Lower or Upper Class people!!!
Autism is a "new" phenomenon - It most certainly is not!!! Autism was described in the 18th Century although at the time was not really understood!!
