oh my god seventh shade pointed me towards this game called rRootage just now and it is awesome

it's this sort of minimalist shooter with entirely too many projectiles and IT LEAVES CHAOS IN ITS WAKE it's that good

zanac is THE SHIT.
sometimes i load up zanac and take out my nes advantage and just shoot the fuck out of everything for hours

Yes, that is a fun game. Personally, I prefer Warning:Forever, also available from GameHippo.

but they do use a low resolution

What windows do you use? You could probably try tweaking the graphics settings on the Compatability menu in Properties. Might work. Or you could try lowereing your screen resolution.
