Any way of saving these lil settings or am I asking for too much?

Dosbox has a feature that turns it up to max emulation speed. By default it emulates a slower computer. To speed it up, do the f12 trick or just type the command [cycles max] at the dosbox prompt. To see how many cycles are being emulated, type [cycles] or window it and look at the info bar.

I can't get DosBox to fullscreen properly, it stretches everything on Vista, but if I work in a window I can do all my ZZT stuff in it.

you might also be able to edit the dosbox.conf file to set the default speed the emulator starts at. there's a way to make shortcuts that will set the speed automatically, but it's a little complicated.

I just put stuff like that in the dosbox.conf autoexec section. It's probably not optimal but it doesn't seem to slow it down that much.

I fiddled with my dosbox.conf a bit to change the resolution used for fullscreen. It works well enough.

As for emulation speed, I usually play with the emulated speed manually, just because I like control. You can change the default speed in the .conf file, though.

Yeah, managed to edit the .conf file to the way I want it to run. Thanks for the help.

Also, does KevEdit work with Vista?

Well, I've been running the last stable Dos version of kevedit (under DosBox) and it's been fine.
