Nadir has never owned a console.

yeah, i'm in the same boat. I had to play dragon warrior 7 on an emulator.
I expect I'll make my first console purchase in over a decade when the Wii comes out though.

Not Nadir's fault the European console market is a bit crippled, I guess.
The Mega Man series is super-great. 2-4 (as well as Rockman and Forte) are must-plays, and so is 8 in the way that Capcom's infamously bad voiceacting then hits its lowest point ever in <i>that game.</i> I can't stand #5 for some reason, 6 is decent and 7 I tend to forget about. 1 is good, but not required play.
As for the X series, the SNES X games are great (of course). X4 was slick but a bit empty. X5, on the other hand, I actually like a good deal (I'm probably in the minority there). The difficulty factor gets pumped up a LOT, which is good since most of X4 is easy, and there are actual things to get again. X6? LOL LETS ATTACH SPIKES EVERYWHERE! SPIKES SPIKES SPIKES. oh wow japanese voiceacting and song left in for once but what a shame it's done for THIS GAME.
Since that, I never played any new X game except for the MMX RPG Command Mission. That game's par for an RPG.
Legends series was probably the best thing they did with the MM license though. Two and a half games, all golden.

ZX is coming out in September, and from what I've read it's awesome.
