The abuse didn't seem that bad to me; there were plenty of articles that weren't the subject of edit wars. There has been talk of putting ZU on Z2, which <s>would give me more power, which I totally deserve</s> I think would be a really swell idea.

Also, what just occured to me is that Burstroc is giving the shutdown announcement for a project that belonged to Moonpie.

Also, Moonpie seems to have come to the same realization while I was typing that last post.

you gave it to me because you didn't want it anymore, obviously. and now i don't want it anymore either, so rather than throwing the burden on someone else i tried taking it down, and rather than try and explain why i really took it down i just said it was for abuse.

so here's why i really took down zultimate:

1. limited webspace! no room for faggy bullshit!
2. faggy bullshit! useless attacks on other people! too much to worry about! (i could have let it run itself if not for the fact that i didn't have room for it)
3. .. you were still an admin, you know. if you cared about zultimate so much, how come you did next to nothing at all once it was on my hosting? i can only guess it's because you didn't care about it. no one does.
4. no one cares! who the fuck needs a zzt wiki? not i! not you! it's like what zamros said on livejournal. search for * on z2.
5. we already have z2! why do we need anything else? we don't!

so there. that's why i took it down. and now everyone hates the living fuck out of me, just for trying to give something back to the community. you guys forget how much work it was putting this shit up and maintaining it, just making sure it all functions correctly. now i see how valuable that all was. fuck you guys.

anyway, it's not completely shut down, i just took it off my hosting. revvy's working on putting it on z2 and i'm helping him as much as possible.

guys it's really not worth stressing over

All burstroc's effectively done is said he doesn't want to host it anymore, it's not like he's deleted everyone's hard work or anything.

Ok so I have a local copy of mediawiki and the entire ZU database which I'll test out today. If it installs ok and I get it working, I'll work on getting it up here.

This train has run its course and it's pulling up at ZUltimate station, with a whole new conditioner.

Yeah, I spent about 5 hours and finally figured out how to host the damn thing properly. You may now continue your previously scheduled conversation.
