Wow, it lets you make a blurry picture that doesn't really look like anything.

Well, it can produce blurry pics, but not always:

Here's another and another.

Pics of a certain complexity will look blurry/amorphous no matter what you do. Pics with simple palettes work best. You can sometimes get good results by taking an RGB image, changing it to a 256 (or lower) Indexed color image (with a standard palette, like Windows system colors) with Image -->Mode in Photoshop, then changing it back to RGB (so you can save it as a 24-bit bmp).

There will be a good number of things that it makes more sense to just draw in the editor, but bmp2zzt can be useful for certain images.

One would think that a B&W picture would do just fine.

not really since there's a limited number of grays.

I like the program a lot, but I find the colours do not tend to work very well. It's better to do them manually.

maybe if it was programed to use half solids it'd be better, but I tend to agree with the masses. It's useful for getting the shape sometimes.

It made me cry when Lowtax's space robot pushed him down the stairs. Do you have stairs in your house?

Nadir does not live in a house! He is an upstart single young man living in a flat in downtown Londom. There are probably stairs in his building, but he wouldn't climb them all the way to the top floor, despite being in spectacular physical shape. He usually just takes the lift.

Oh good. That means the space robots can't push him down the stairs. ...Or can they?

i noticed that sometimes while i was saving files in photoshop.

i could usually fix it by opening it in irfanview, decreasing the color depth, then increasing it again and saving the file

i had a big picture of an explosion that originally turned out green, but worked after i re-saved it

so, in conclusion,

Someone should lace bmp2zzt with zpalette. That program would be king.
