I love this game so much. I love how they kept all the classical doom shit and made it into more of a horror based thing. Oh Yeah. Since Doom 3 came out, Quake 3 engine is now open source. Why? Because Quake 4 is using Doom 3's engine.

Meh.
Oh and don't go "OMG IT'S DOOM RETRO", because we passed that stage like five million years ago. It's as repetitive as fuck.

sure the game is cool and the graphics are amazing, but it doesn't change the fact my computer can't run the elaborate scenes any higher than 8 fps. =(

I now own this game. It is the shit. Hands down, best new FPS i've played in a long time. Everything ID promised, it delivers. Freaky, claustrophobic, and yes, very dark. A lot of times you can't see what you're shooting at until it starts to create a fire ball and it's humongous shadow is cast on the wall behind it.
