Later than I expected, but I just sent mine in.
Looking forward to playing this game!

nupanick, you know it's pointless releasing a version with like, five boards
no-one will play it
or, the reverse, no-one will the care for the final edition.
either way, you fail
except if you just wait.
Dec 20th, get your entries spinning!

Dec 20th? I was expecting this to happen, I'm extending the deadline to dvoracking New-Year's! Anyone who actually wants to play the "first draft" can email me for it.

Code: Select all
N = Nupanick
I = infosponge
J = Jur
Q = Quantum P
C = Commodore
R = RobertP
Map:
+
+-R +-Q
| | |
J>+-N>C
| | ^ V
+-+ I<+
About halfway there, and the entries I've gotten are pretty good!
P.S. If you sent yours to me and it's not on this map, I may have forgotten it. Please remind me.

So, after trying a few of the boards that were finished on time, I'm considering adding a thingy to my central board to reset your stats, in case you got a lot of items on one board but are willing to set them back to normal to replenish your health. Particularly, after playing Jur's board I was quite low on health and some form of replenisher would be good.
That being said, it was a good action board, Jur! You did not miss the point like you feared.
As of this post I have finally solved Quantum P's puzzle. That thing was tricky, but fun.
RobertP, I wandered around yours but eventually figured out what the object was and solved it.
Commodore, your board was... interesting. I liked it.
infosponge, I had a bit of trouble figuring out where the entrance to your board was supposed to go, but I got it connected right and I think everything worked out. Nice idea and artwork.
We are now waiting for 7 more entries, which must be in before new year's day, although before Christmas would be preferred so I can finish it over school break. Edits, fixes, and updates to previously submitted boards are good too.

Yeah... I messaged Zamros about where our boards should meet, but he thought we shared a different edge. When I was like "uh, no, other edge, how's about we connect on the bottom?" he didn't reply so i did it my way because seriously? fuck him.
RobertP's board was a fun little puzzle
Jur's board was really cool, but by the end it was so full of heads that dosbox started to chug a little :(
Quantum P's board was hard, and I still haven't figured it out, but it's cool as shit.
Commodore's board was hilarious and i laughed the whole time. I was jacked like a motherfucker, but still, funny is funny. Props.

I think Nupanick originally set the deadline to Nov. 30 just to make sure we had all started by Dec. 1. :)
Anyway, I'm glad for the extension -- the ending is an afterthought, and I'd really like to improve it.

Are you kidding? You had an awesome puzzle and you nearly overloaded ZZT, and now you're looking to add more? Your enthusiasm amazes me. I'm still working out a cool way to write "COLLABYRINTH" for the title screen.
P.S. the puzzle hints on the faded parchment was a nice touch, without that kickstart I never would have figured out what to do.

There are 12 people.
Collabyrinth is 12 letters.
I'll make a sweet ass "b".
You guys figure out what letters you want.

I'm assuming that doesn't include me. Unless asiekierka's not doing one.
Are you doing a letter, asie? I think I'll assign space requirements if we're doing a collaborative title page.

The screen's 60 by 25, right? so... you each get a rectangle 14 tiles wide by 7 tiles high. That leaves a little space on the edges, and you can fill up the rectangle entirely if you want because the space between letters is factored in. That sound good?
