I just finished reading Hiroshima. A book about a bunch of survivor's experiences.
One dude ferried a bunch of people who were too weak to swim across a river and laid them down on the other side so he could find some carts or something to carry them away the next day, but the tide came in and they all drowned overnight :(

Archangel, really? You fancy yourself a writer and yet you don't care to read? I fail to see how that works out.
ANYHOW I have yet to post in this thread so I'll share with you some of Zamros' Quick Picks:
The Lipshitz 6 by T Cooper - Jews coming to America, the baby kid gets lost at Ellis Island and grows up to become noted anti-Semite Charles Lindbergh.
Boswell by Stanley Elkin - dude decides to collect famous friends as an insurance policy against death, ends up in a variety of wacky positions including pro wrestling
The Brooklyn Follies by Paul Auster - old guy goes to Brooklyn to die, ends up reuniting with long-lost nephew, antics ensue
This Book Will Save Your Life by A.M. Homes - haven't finished this book yet so I don't really know where it's going. Dude wakes up in incredible pain one day and that starts a chain of life-changing events, etc.
this concludes zamros' quick picks for today
