this is a contest and these are the rules:
make a zzt game that's one board long, the olny allowed things are:
walls
empties
players
gems
sliders
boulders

the object is to make a game that takes the most moves in order to get all the gems

One board as in no title? Or are title screens permitted? What's the time limit?

it doesn't matter about title screens, and there's no time limit, it's like queen of jeelllyybean, howw whoever has the best one so far is the current winner.

I'll start this show. I believe this is 1019 steps, I made an object do the work so I could have an automatic counter.

He did a modified ping-pong path.

Idea: Could player clones be of any use to pull the player back to a certain position if they press a certain arrow key?

Filling the board with gems would surely effectively create a longer pingpong path.

Not as long as creating a grid of tiny slider puzzles would, though.

yeah it's 1499 if you just fill the board.

I guess I suck hard for somehow thinking having to walk twice as much for certain columns would somehow be more than filling it completely.

i don't know how many steps this one would take, i didn't check (you can check by clicking the image)

probably not that many, but hey it looks neat right...? there's 1124 gems on the board, but there's probably at least a couple hundred more than that due to the way i laid the board out
