I love ZZM files. It's a shame they were never very popular.

When in a program or text editor in KevEdit, press Alt+M. Navigate until you find the ZZM file you want, and select it. Then choose the song from the file (so it needs titles) and it will be imported with #play code.

Note that it doesn't include /idles or anything else to keep the music running smoothly, like loops - just the musical code

Z2 doesn't have many ZZM files, and a lot of them are pretty bad. (I had the soundtrack to GREED up there a while ago). If you want better music you're better to download games by people like WiL, Viovis, or jojoisjo and rip the stuff from their games using ZZTMRIP.

I don't know if or how this works in ZZTAE, but I'd recommend you use KevEdit over ZZTAE anyway.

Oh, and "Hi!"

Make sure you're using KevEdit's most recent version. 0.5.1 exists but it doesn't go beyond some very simple bug fixes, and hasn't yet been released. You should also check that the ZZM file you're using has titles for the songs.

Most, if not all, of the ZZM files available on Z2 will have titles, so you can take a look at them to see how it works.

You also press Alt+M while in the program editor, and not just on the main screen.

MadTom is so nice. He even helps people too lazy to read Kevedit's help files. :P :safe: By the way, welcome to the commune. All the other new ZZTers never seem to post. :(

you could just go in the zzm file... paste "#play " before each line and copy/paste it in too, but i'm not a big fan of zzms.. too constrictive, and the music plays better in zzt... something that sounds like mario but isn't? i don't get it. I can do some stuff... cause some damage.. i've lost some interest in zzt itself, but not superzzt or hexediting zzt.exe until it crashes, or plastic, though i haven't really liked plastic since version 1.035. But yeah, i still like makin #play stuff.
