BANG! revival

:fvkk:

Hey everyone. As you know, the zzt clone BANG! is long gone, and my failed BANG! Resource website suffered from limited bandwith and a member list of 4 (including a MOST annoying spammer). However, I'm planning on supplying some resources for it so it might just see the light of day. I will work on:

-Graphical overview/tutorial on using the GUI of BANG!
-BANG! OOP reference manual, with examples

Hopefully, maybe some people will be able to make games for it. So stay tuned.

Nope, the website is gone. Could someone make a download for it on Z2? Should I just upload it?

Would you guys prefer if I create the GUI tutorial as a series of picture files or create it as a HTML file?

W00t I did it! Here's the GUI guide! Also included is an unedited BANG! OOP reference guide. I may make a game full of examples sometime. I still need a way to share the few but quality games made for BANG!.

And obviously, here is the actual BANG! program.

Go ahead, be excited...

This may (or very well may not) be of interest to some, but I recently wrote a blog post about a Zem! X remake in Bang! that never really got off the ground that I, WiL, and adv were all working on like 14 years ago.

Glad y'all thought it was interesting. It was cool to dig into my files and my memories to write that. I think I'd released a screenshot on my website at the time, but otherwise I'm sure almost no one knew this thing was in the works.
