zzt++ 0.8.47 available
i have made a binary version of zzt++ 0.8.47 available on planet zzt++. visit the download page to get it.
this executable demonstrates a couple of new features, namely the basic object movement and the ability to store boards in memory after the player has left them. play a game (with at least 5 boards, now that i think of it!) and press Help. board 5 will show, until you move the player. you will be taken back to the starting board. doesn't look like much happened, but it did. just testing...
source code is available off the source forge CVS repository if you want it.

It seems unlikely that this deeply unsatisfactory situation will be resolved by a new attempt to answer the old question; instead, as has been suggested by some of the most thoughtful students, we should expect to find that some part of the conceptual landscape in which this problematic entity resides must be reconstructed before it will come into focus.

JimmyJ, there are two things I'd like you to know.
First of all, posting in very old threads bugs some people. The post before yours was made back in June, which is quite a while around here. Unless a thread has some designated long-time purpose (for example, the Introduce Yourself thread in Off Topic), it's generally not considered polite to revive the thread.
Second, if you're not offended by naughty pictures and the possibility of threads going radically off topic, you're going to fit in well here.
