i'm thinking i'll sadly have a negative attitude of you at first because
Although you don't sound like you're 8.
hey my guide even guessed the year.RULE NUMBER 3: WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU
You have no credibility yet. "I've been zzting since 1992 but just found the community last week!" Yeah, whatever. "lol hey guyz watz up. i'm 22 and found zzt and itz kewl. you're games are neat and i wil make sum 2!" Honestly if you're actually like 8 years old you probably shouldn't be on these boards! We're very naughty! But if you want to be feel free, but don't lie. People who actually are older/wiser/smarter/better than you can see through any lies you may try to spin. This also includes you being a master programmer who we never heard of. Also we don't need your musical/graphic/comedy services. If we do we'll ask.
Although you don't sound like you're 8.

No no, I know what you're thinking, Dos, but I've seriously been toying with ZZT since 1992. I think I still have the shareware CD that I found it on. I lurked here since the zzt.org days, I just really haven't had a desire to post until now (I was here for, like, a week last year).Dr. Dos wrote:i'm thinking i'll sadly have a negative attitude of you at first because
And it's not like it really matters anyway. Most of the community could probably out-ZZT me. :/

Surprisingly yes. They actually held more than your average (read: affordable) hard drive, too. O_ORyan Ferneau wrote:They had CDs back then???Spectere wrote:I think I still have the shareware CD that I found it on.
But yeah, ZZT 3.2 (I think) came on it along with some of Greg Janson's earlier games (such as Robots of Gemrule, BugTown, Dungeons II, etc). I was in heaven when I found the ZZT games archive on AOL (connected at a blistering 2400 bps) keyword PC GAMES.
Now I really feel like kicking myself for NEVER FINISHING ANYTHING DAMNIT.

They didn't have CDs in 1992!
Zack: Preppy, charming and totally gorgeous! Zach is a schemer who would rather stay up all night figuring how to get out of an exam than studying for it!
Slater: The All-American athlete with dimples to die for! Captain of Bayside's football team, Slater is a chauvinist who -- believe it or not -- has an emotional side. What a combo!
Screech: Class clown and electronic genius! When Screech turns on the power, the fun never stops!
