Post by Zenith Nadir »

so what was your haul?

here's mine:

* book: king-cat classix by john porcellino
* books: 6x moomin story books by tove jansson (all the original stories, yay)
* book: MAD magazine bathroom book (not very good, really, may sell on ebay later)
* cd: dreamweaver by sabbat
* enough toiletries to make me paranoid that people were trying to tell me something, but including some brut and original source, which are my personally preferred choices
* new slippers
* a mug with a cartoon (not anime) red-haired little girl with pigtails in a kimono going ^______________________^ on it
* £50 gift cash (with which i bought a wacky designer vinyl toy (touma's black flocked "grabbit", if that means anything to you) and this year's peanuts box set)
* £1000 inheritance money from deceased grandparent, most of which is destined for a savings account

that's it, i think
he looked upon the world and saw it was still depraved :fvkk:

* Cheap gadgets: Grand Canyon screensaver, light-up patriotic pen
* Clothing: mittens w/ 5 fingers, sweatshirt
* Food: nuts, various chocolates, various hard candies (candy canes included)
* Gift cards: Apple, Barnes & Noble
* Toiletries: cologne samples, travel toothpaste/brush
* Reading materials: book on wacky warning labels, Linux mag w/ subscription, mag about Air and Space travel
* Money: cash, checks
* Music: a 5-CD "best of" classical music compilation

That's all I can remember at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if I forgot something.

I've got a sugar tooth from hell, so a good deal of my presents were sweets. No, I won't list them all.

vacuum cleaner
desk lamp
surprise camera
$40
candy! FOR A GROWN MAN!

A cheap Fleisher cartoon collection, was a total blast of nostalgia since my grandmother used to have like 30 videocasettes of that kind of stuff -- I had completely forgotten about it. No Betty Boop M.D though

Hell, may as well join in...

Books: The Case For Faith (I'm kind of divided about this one), The Case For The Real Jesus (very interesting), The Case For A Creator (blows me away).
CD's: Manheim Steamrollers Christmas (very interesting sounding group. I ought to track down a few more of their things)
Misc: Bag of candy with a wallet-sized photo of my second niece, $140 or so.
Electronics: Wireless mouse/keyboard set
Gift Cards: Best Buy ($30), Wal-Mart ($5, my "bonus" from McDonald's).

...I think that's it. I haven't spent any of the money/cards, save for the Wal-Mart one, which got me some toothpaste and deoderant. Whoo.
