Gentlemen! (Ladies?) The legacy of ZZTV continues. This time I've enlisted help. Bitbot here is the man (as has already been demonstrated), and with his valuable assistance, there's no way it can take six years!

Give me your stuff you cranky old men. Board boards and more boards. Art. Stories. Magic. Kittens. Games! We'll take your crappy poetry too! Just get it on a zzt board and get it into my inbox. Do it. DO IT NOW! Do it later... Don't do it, just do it!

Submit to my e-mail, or bitbot's.

jddgames at yahoo dot com

Release date is on critical mass basis. We'll see how fast and furious (or not) submissions come in.

Observe the greatness of ZZTV's illustrious past and get inspired.

I will totally do a thing!

But I have to think of a channel name first.

Welp. None of the stuff I've started really ever made it far. I could probably cobble it together for this.

What's your policy on the use of external text files? In order to cut down on world size, that is. And possibly make text editing easier.

I'd like to see everything packed into one large world but that requires an external simulator like Lyon.

Any objections?

I'm a traditionalist. so I'd like to see it compatible with vanilla zzt, more opportunity for title screens I say! Also I write this from my crashed windows net-book which was resurrected with a free copy of linux. Quantum P runs a mac, so it might exclude him. I do like the idea of a huge one, there's plenty of room for both.

If you want to hotlink to external files within a zzt game, that it fine. The files will be included.

Reminder that ZZT can read text files with "!-filename;Normal hyperlink text".

I have no idea what happens if you load a massive file that would hit ZZT's memory limits, but that can always be an option.

Back in the day, my liver hurtz had an idea to make a program that detected when a text file was opened, to play an external wav or mp3. I wish that had panned out.
