ZZT OOP Tricks

When I was a teenager, I played lots of ZZT games and studied the ZZT encyclopedias and any documentation I could find.

But there were a few quirks (useful quirks) that I couldn't find documented anywhere. If I can find it, I had a ZZT game world somewhere with about 7 game engines that I thought were original, a couple of which exploited ZZT bugs that I couldn't find documented.

For example, did anyone ever notice that the player clone object fires a bullet (if you have ammo, obviously) when you press the 'B' button? This is useful in extending the number of key press events that can be detected in a game.

I want to try to find the ZZT world file rather than just tell you about the engines. I had one that was a scrolling platform game (I released an early version on Z2 (under another name) as panning.zzt but made improvements and modifications later on).

Worse comes to worst, I'll just describe my engines/findings! Of course, it might just be old news...
