It wasn’t whimsical in any way (well, actually, you could call the hobbits whimsical). It was actually very serious; just like Middle-earth!

:slap:

I would post what I think about it, but I can't be bothered; and the only stored review I have is for the books; which are, in actual fact, quite different from the movies.

Indeed, I am quite lacking in virility. But what I lack in virility, I make up in intellect; even if it is a very boring, and of course, spartan intellect!

That's STEP-DADDY, thank you.

I don't have a "DADDY".
Hey! I created you in a lab, then i mistreated you badly, causing your persistant hatred of me. You were a failed experiment.

Oh, waitaminute. I'm not Dr. Hojo of the Shin-Ra EPC am I? Dosn't explain why you want me dead though?

it was set in a fantasy world, you dumbass

fantasy worlds with elves and that shit are by nature whimsical

it does not necessarily mean "not serious"

and before you refute this, look on dictionary.com
he looked upon the world and saw it was still depraved :fvkk:

It seems I misunderestimated Scorch's bad mistreatment.

I vote we make this the official "Guess how long before Tyrannous gets banned again" thread.

My guess is a week at most.

this "unbanning all the banned" thing didn't have a promising start, seeing as no one was doing anything wrong.

boy howdy did that change.

anyway I want to ban tyrannous right after scorch insults him, so he doesn't have a chance to fight back until he ban evades.

Nadir:

You’re talking spunk again. Tolkien’s Middle-earth was NOT whimsical in ANY way, other than the conception of the hobbits. The elves are a very sombre race, despite the popular misconception of them being frivolous. You know nothing.

To clarify; the elves of the Sindar and the Noldor, who feature heavily throughout the novels, are very serious and quite without fanciful features. The hobbits, however, in the way they speak and behave, are quite whimsical. Their lack of pretensions is an ally of this feature.

Go and read all the books before claiming the story is whimsical. I hate you, because of who you are. And I find it wholly amusing that you only got a B in English. Hope you’re pleased about that.
