You either had something more constructive to do, or you went fishing.

So is there no advance editor for Super ZZT?

I always loved the chunky blocks, scrolling, conveyors, floors and 'H' key of Super ZZT... but the editor stinks. A new superz game would look especially slick in Lyon.

But it seems the only option left is to hop over to the megazeux side. :-/

ZAP is buggy, but arguably less buggy than the SZZT editor.

should it include New Earth Operations, the product of an eventual murderer?

Also I can't find chill.zzt or pilatus.zzt and have no idea what they are. I like the darren hewer additions. Crash Landing is fun, but with it's repetitive graphics and action I'm not sure its worthy of a "best of", although it is more recent. Sid's Disaster has a game killing bug in it that occurs when bats shoot spikes. (i've been meaning to fix it for ages.)

Take a look at "Their Way, the Soulful Way" by Herc

What a tragedy. My heart goes out to Fukuko's family. It's a shame, Chase was undoubtebly one of the best ZZT artists. Guess there's a fine line between genius and madness. I stumbled upon 'Bloodlines' too but I'm afraid to play it. I'll sweep this under the rug...

CHILL.ZZT = Post 'Apopleptic' Chill by Herc (Duh)
PILATUS.ZZT = "Pilatus.zzt is just an extra. It has nothing to do with Sabotage." -Rob Pragt (Deleted, thanks!)

I like Crash and you gave it four stars so it stays!

Okay, I nixed Sid. Angelis Finale would've been better but there's enough of your stuff in here anyway!

Added THEIRWAY.ZZT. Thanks a lot!

Preposterous Machines is a really neat tech demo, but it's not really a game, so I don't think it should be included. The reason I say this is that this compilation strikes me as something you would want to present to someone new to ZZT, and I'm sure most people would be looking for something more game oriented and less tech demo-y.

Regarding NEO: I don't see what Chase's being a murderer has to do with it. It's not like the game is about murder specifically, which would make it creepy.

The reasons I'd leave out NEO is because it's an incomplete game (Chase never made part 2), and it's really, really hard (though maybe I'm a lesser gamer). On the other hand, it's a huge thrill when you get to the end, and it's pretty.

Speaking of which, is that the guiding purpose of the compilation (to be an introduction to newcomers)?

neo is short. Bloodlines might be a better choice, for bramlage.

I'm not sure disc 2 of srpg needs to be there. Even knightt (in the txt) says its bad.

PM is pretty amazing, an a rare post-2004 release. I almost think syndromes should go more than PM. With so many good examples of what to do, who needs examples of what not to do?
