Here's a mock-up of the platform engine. Seems to be a touch more responsive on cycle 2 than 1, also a bit easier to navigate the level. Suggestions/improvements, welcome.

Well done. Pretty smooth actually.

What if you simplified it and ditched the ability to jump? (Like in Zelda) Then you wouldn't need a second player.
Gravity could be simulated with hidden objects near edges that push the player downward, perhaps along a hidden rail.
Alternatively, ZZT Man could get to higher ground using ropes, ladders, elevators etc...

I haven't attempted a platformer in ZZT... but this is just a concept.
Thanks for doing this btw, a few side-view levels would be well-suited for this game!

I cut my hand cooking, so i've been working at half speed for the past few days. Managed to start working on the final level (before starting work on the penultimate level :P)

Level 1: Aztec Temple, Mexico
Level 2: Pyramid, Egypt
Level 3: Catacombs, Greece
Level 4: ??????
Level 5: Lunar Palace, Moon

Level 4 was going to be set in Iran, like some sort of Persian ruins, but I felt like the environments would become a little repetitive. I've done my best to make each place have it's own feel, and want to get away from dilapidated stone structures every time.

I was able to put some time into it earlier this weekend, but I don't think it'll be done by then. Recently midterms have had greater priority, but that'll change in a week.

Not able to get my entry in on time, I had four boards made, and one board of a different game, but wasn't satisfied with the direction of either. Will, probably combine them and release later. school>zzt momentarily.

I'm looking forward to some time off this wednesday.

I like the aztec dungeon. The ricochet and traveler's curse puzzles are cool.

Going downward on the "planes" board brings me to greece. That's a bug right?
