Pretty cool. I like how hit points are divided into categories and actually have impact on gameplay.

The way you did doors was pretty good, too.

nice, but I think the aiming could use some work. I think i'd like to see it aim faster but making it go to zero if you move at all. Also I think losing some aim with each shot would be interesting, so you'd have to take you time between shots.

The zombies breaking through doors is cool, really cool. Can you make it so that you can block doors with things (like boulders i guess) or does the engine use contact?

Also few times (on the help board at least) it seemed like the aimer deleted some of the coloured bar.

It would be cool to have to outline of a zombie with a crosshair and hide the coloured bar, or something. A little three object tall thing with arrows on either side that aims up from legs to body to head. It seems a little complex with the arms and the legs since it's hard to keep track of the total damage inflicted to a zombie. Seems you could slow and weaken at the same time.

hmmm, I do need to do a sequel to living dead...

The door smashing is just a loop checking for being blocked and not in contact so you standing outside of the door doesn't cause it to smash.

This allows you to make yourself a physical barricade for doors and windows.

And yeah the tutorial is really messed up. I spent more time getting that to work right than the rest of the engine.

I really need to tweak the aiming speed. There's also an unintentional side effect of the order the aimbar/reloading object effect goes that makes your aim impossible to increase when you have no bullets in your gun.

The DRM Dr. Dos put on the ZZT data file does not permit that.

that looks like a cinema but it'd make a great world map!

It made me think of an idea for the game.

Really sweet job there Dos! Yeah, the zombies breaking down doors and windows was pretty cool. The gun engine also makes logical sense and doesn't require you to type ?+reload or something like that so it's much more convenient!

Waiting to aim is a great idea too. When you move, the aim goes down, so you have to wait for the little 'aiming' meter to get at it's highest before shooting. That's really inovative! I hope you'll make at least a short game out of this. It's really good, and you could make the first creative Resident Evil for ZZT :D
