Re: Washing Machine Religion
I only know them from their Airport appearances in TV's South Park. I didn't even see them on the show... I was reading the South Park Guide to Life book someone got me for Xmas a couple of years back. One of their whole 'excerpted scenes' used for their whole 'philosophical quotes' was about Mr. Ga...

Re: Far too many unfinished ZZT games to work on at once
I'm considering just creating a map of all the 'game ideas' that have gone into my 'unfinished games' and organizing them into some... ideal combination... of which ones get into which few games. Don't get your hopes up. Just a thought at this point. I'm considering something along the lines of a cl...

Re: Multiple idle directions at once..?
You guys are waaaaay more experienced than I am at this and now I feel like an idjot for bringing this up and talking philosophically on proespects of code that others have already figured out. Thanks for helping to remind me of my ambitions to ever be that good at code (even if it's only ZZT's code...

Re: Washing Machine Religion
Yes, well, I'm trying to open discussion on the nature of religious Dogma rather than bash Religion outright to the point it can't be talked about rationally. My point is that you could make a full-blown religion, Millenia of systematized Persecution and all, on a series of instructions about the le...

Curses! Foiled by ethnocentrism again. Always forgetting to bear in mind that you're only speaking from your own part of the world.

Multiple idle directions at once..?
As I'm sure most ZZT game-makers who had any particular emphasis on the code aspect in ZZT-OOP will recall you can actually use directional commands on an 'if at all possible' basis. I'm sure you know the hassles of having an object that is supposed to go one way or another (or follow a route) for a...

I'm pretty interested in this idea, thinking, what exactly defines the 'when' of at what point we as a Civilization are really in the 21st Century and what's when we are merely there in the numbers...

Washing Machine Religion
They say that you can form an organized religion to last for Centuries of Religious Oppression, Dogma and everything, all based on the instructions for a Washing Machine. If you haven't gotten the point of that one before let me point this one out. For continued quality of use, and Hygiene, wash thi...

Re: Furry Ideological Pursuits...
I will admit that it's a very loose categorization... I mean if it were me I'd prefer a strict categorization of what counts as Furry. Then put everything else into other near-Furry categories.
What have you. Not out to say what does and does not count as Furry. Just to explain this all as queried...

Re: Mirroring ZZT worlds
Ummm... I wouldn't make much of it. I was just lucky at any rate for havin' felt like this at any rate. Now to home-mirror that pub/idgames2/ thinger *[SHUDDER]* might take some disk space and really I'd only be in it for Quake and Q3 and maybe Doom but not for... Wolf3D, Doom II, Heretic, Hexen, He...

Re: Furry Ideological Pursuits...
In retrospect trying to explain specific things about what Furry is in detail on ZZT forums was a bad idea. Though, in my defense, I was given good indication that others were interested in a detailed explanation. since when is a girl with a tail and horns "furry?" Is the common portrayal ...

10 to 100 times more hate for arguing than from a Furry aspe
I've tried dicking around on other forums, all for 'game clans' for 'newer' PC games (even though they range from Quake 3 Arena 1999 to BioShock 2007, and generally leaning towards the 1999 end, in what date the game itself they are a 'game clan' for is from), about my love of Furry specifically. Fo...

My next full analysis about Furry characters
What you generally get with Furries is that the individual Furry characters have their own personalities. If it's a Fursona that a Furry Artist or other Furry is 'playing' they will generally reflect the personality of the person who has it as their Fursona (or at least what they like about their ow...

Re: VVVVV homage to ZZT
If you ever do get into Blank Blood let me know how you get through the bosses. I only got through their first one with the morass of giant-sized versions of the rock-clobber monsters (which show up as normal-sized enemies after then in the game) because i somehow managed to activate the 'debug mode...
