If you're still around and taking suggestions mr phile, I'd suggest also looking at madtom's memory management article which doubles as a good ZZTOOP style guide. It helped me very much when starting out -- for example you can type #loop instead of #send loop.

oh shit this it's about 2/3 done, but i haven't really playtested any of it, the end section fell apart when i changed something, hehehehhhasdgdsafhkjl anyways in august and september i was playing through the zgames archive (starting with the smallest files) and taking screenshots. i forget how man...
