Re: Rare ZZT Game Bounties
I think the old chocobo.org archive was the basis for the ZZT archive which became z2. I've got a few listed on the Museum site that I found evidence of when auditing the copy of z2's own database it's based on. Corrupt zips, and a file files getting overwritten by sharing filenames. https://museumo...

Re: ZZT Uploads
And even that isn't going to be all of them! I started using my python script to dump screenshots of the titlescreens and did it for everything rather than just that list and realized there are some different versions of existing games like Link's Adventure. Though if anything's changed other than t...

Re: There are still people here
We all had issues as teenagers here pretty much. (Hi it's me playing Boyhump in that video) Basically everything on this site is buried in a decade's worth of dust. I mean, there's a links page that links livejournal.com. Members of this community unfortunately haven't been as good at staying alive ...

Re: ZZT Uploads
I'm starting to peek at this on lunch breaks at work. So far the best thing I've come across is the original version of BoOf rather than Chase Bramlage's remixed version.

Re: ZZT Uploads
We have Pirate Perils, but not "Pete the Pirate".
I think there's an upload limit on z2's uploader, but I'd definitely be interested in what you've got even if it's a big old mess to comb through

Re: ZZT Ultra
Maybe I'm misinterpreting, (and it sounds like it's a bit late anyway) but have you looked at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Uint8Array ? It's what I used for using the Museum of ZZT's file viewer when loading a file locally rather than pulling from ...

The Red Ruffian Puzzle
http://zzt.org/upload//RRPUZZLE.zip
This file got uploaded 2 weeks ago and the author is stated as Flimsy Parkins. Where did it come from?
(Also it's a very good puzzle. I've yet to even attempt the other boards though)

Re: They Fill Me With Joy So Profound
That was from some database issue like a decade ago where the usernames were somehow lost? I don't know. This website was created by like 15 year olds.

Re: ZZT Ultra
With all the ZZTing I've been doing for Worlds of ZZT projects I've been using Dosbox set to a dynamic CPU rate rather than a fixed cycle count. Fixed cycles seems to randomly just slow to a crawl whenever I do streams (without warning and not necessarily on demanding boards), but letting Dosbox tak...

Re: Looking for EASY Games
Merbotia is pretty straightforward and fun to play. The first Fred game is light action as well. Its sequel is much more vast, but there is a walkthrough: http://zzt.org/files/fred2.txt Is the difficulty you're encountering puzzles, creatures, or more complex object enemies? Dosbox and ZZT have issu...

Re: A New z2
HI REMEMBER THIS THREAD? https://z2.pokyfriends.com/ is the public beta of the Patreon page and while it's a little behind the private one it's reasonably similar. Things have progressed enough over the past months that it's time to start considering what this project is, what z2 is, and what paths ...
