Re: Zeta - a different approach to modern-day ZZT

I noticed today that "Ctrl+Plus/Minus - resize Zeta window by integer amounts" doesn't work for me in Windows. Is this just a "doesn't work in Windows" thing or am I just unlucky that it just doesn't work for me? (Using latest Zeta version)

Re: ZZT Uploads

Ah, that's good to hear! When possible, it might be fun to try to track down the author(s) and if they're on Twitter/whatever have them link/engage with their past work that was probably thought to be lost. (There was a great story along those lines recently about an old thought-to-be-lost DOS game ...

Re: ZZT Uploads

Was this archive ever fully explored? Looks like there are some listed here that aren't on the museum yet. (Yes I am rather bored at work ATM.) Ex kevquest.zzt

If Dos or someone else has a working copy of the archive (OP's link is dead) I can take a look through it

Re: Diagonal shooting

Ah okay, thanks! I didn't know what the X Step and Y Step properties do. It'll work for my purposes by putting water around 'em to keep 'em stationary.

Diagonal shooting

I think I saw an object shooting diagonally on one of Dr Dos's streams recently but I can't recall where I saw that, nor can I figure out how it was done. Can someone enlighten me please, or did I imagine it? @_@

Thanks!

Re: Autumn 2003 24 Hours of ZZT

Any updates on this? Maybe a new thread should be started to gauge interest; likely too late for the Jan 19 date.

Re: Autumn 2003 24 Hours of ZZT

I kind of like this idea, although if some people want to use a full week, I'd hate to stop them from doing so. Maybe something like a WoZZT would be a good compromise - enough time to do a submission on tighter schedules, but also room to spread out for people that have a whole weekend. The only r...

Re: Autumn 2003 24 Hours of ZZT

It'd be great to see another 24hoz contest. Maybe to accommodate peoples' varying schedules and adult lives, people could be given a week to do their game, but only using a maximum of 24 hours. Honor system. Realistically I can't work on a game more than a couple hours a day now anyways.

Re: Zeta - a different approach to modern-day ZZT

I noticed on the Zeta website that there are plans for an Android port. Would this be for a ZZT app on the Play store? That'd be pretty awesome.

Re: Yuki and the Space Show

I took a quick look at the game, very impressive, super professionally done. Great concept and visual design. I personally have found it very challenging so far! :ssj: But TBH I'm not really good at games, which is why all mine are easy. I was surprised but happy to see Obelisk mentioned BTW :)
