Oh, I get it, Dr. Dos. Duh. Right. That just would work differently then I was originally thinking- that's why I didn't get it at first. Interesting.

I just looked at the latest version of the new encyclopedia. I especially liked the kangaroo effect and bullet intercept.

Oh, yeah, you're right Commodore. I meant that if a built-in object moves over a "black hole" (an empty with stats) it will destroy the black hole after taking on its stats. When the player tries to move over the blackhole, I think you're right that he skips right over top. I think you can specify b...

Description of Various Engines

I made these engines a long time ago, so hopefully I'll remember correctly. I think my game world was lost long ago, so the best I can do is describe them. I had uploaded it to www.zzt.com at a certain point, but when I checked back later it looked like it had been lost during the transition to z2. ...

I had a world of seven engines that I wrote a while ago. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to find them. So, in the meantime, I'll just post all I can remember that was in the ZZT world as a programming challenge for anyone interested! :-D My first version of the scrolling game engine is uploaded...

ZZT OOP Tricks

When I was a teenager, I played lots of ZZT games and studied the ZZT encyclopedias and any documentation I could find. But there were a few quirks (useful quirks) that I couldn't find documented anywhere. If I can find it, I had a ZZT game world somewhere with about 7 game engines that I thought we...

Interesting comments. Thanks for the information! @Commodore It seems like it would be nice to have the option of mini-ZZT worlds (worlds made specifically for the calc. version) and also originally-sized worlds, so that you could automatically play all of the classic ZZT games like Enigma, Chronos ...

zzt for graphing calculator

Has anyone thought of porting ZZT to a graphing calculator (like the TI-89)? Perhaps modifying the DreamZZT source code?... The interface would have to be a little bit different... maybe the side bar would fade in and off the screen at the press of a button to give more space. Also, the screen would...
