That was really cool to see! I managed to get it running by booting off an MS-DOS 6.22 boot disk on an old 2001(ish?) Dell laptop flawlessly.

It's not! It looks like it's just stored pretty much as is. Somewhere in the utilities (here and on the museum site) there should be something to decompress ZZT's executable UNLZEXE or something. KevEdit definitely does. ZZT's drawing routine always forces them to appear as black on black, but you can #put a gem on an empty without specifying a color and it will take the empty's color. Somebody in the Worlds of ZZT Discord made a hacked up executable and I remember: 1) I downloaded it immediately because I realized how useful it was 2) I have no fucking idea what I did with it, or who made it or where to find it again either in Discord logs or my own computer! So oops.
